Bob Plate’s practice experience is varied. He has acted as an agent for the Attorney General of Canada regarding the prosecution of income tax claims, and as counsel for Federal Cabinet Ministers pursuant to the Elections Act.
For several years, Bob restricted his practice to personal injury and wrongful death cases, acting on behalf of injured persons and their family members.
Bob has appeared at all levels of the Ontario courts as both trial and appellate counsel. He has also appeared before various tribunals including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Pension Appeal Board and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
Currently, Bob’s practice is focused in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, occupiers liability claims and priority disputes among insurance companies. |

| Bob is a member of the Advocates’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. He has appeared as a lecturer to health professionals and community groups at various conferences regarding medical and legal issues. |
