Khalid received his JD from the University of Toronto, where he was valedictorian for the 2008 graduating class and president of the Students' Law Society.  Khalid also received the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award and the Ogilvy Renault Award for Academic Excellence and Extracurricular Contributions.

During law school, Khalid was a Caseworker and Executive Member with Downtown Legal Services, a member of the first place team in the Frank M. Callaghan Memorial Moot, and top oralist in the Goodman & Carr First Year Moot.  Prior to law school, Khalid was a software developer with the Toronto Stock Exchange and a junior analyst with CGI Group Inc.

In his spare time, Khalid practices kung fu and yoga, and enjoys adventure travel.
