In 2009 Gord graduated from Dalhousie Law School as the gold medalist of his class. He was the recipient of numerous academic scholarships and distinctions, including the course prize for Business Associations, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, and Public Law, among others. In his third year he served as President of the Dalhousie Law Students’ Society.
