Career Development / Mentoring Program |
ADAIR MORSE LLP strongly believes that the ongoing development of junior lawyers is crucial to both excellent advocacy for our clients, the long-term success of the firm, and the future of the legal profession. It is imperative that students and associates receive as much exposure to all aspects of the files and then work both autonomously and as part of a team to achieve the best possible immediate and long-term results. The mentoring program has been very successful in providing a more formalized approach to the teamwork philosophy that is encouraged at ADAIR MORSE LLP. Associates are able to work autonomously but still receive consistent support and guidance from the partners at the firm.
The ADAIR MORSE LLP mentoring program led by Partner, Krista Springstead, includes a combination of internal and external training and development for all associates. Once an associate is hired at ADAIR MORSE LLP they begin working with an ADAIR MORSE LLP mentor, who is a partner at the firm with extensive litigation and trial experience. The associate and their mentor meet regularly to discuss legal issues, client service and practice management and, and to complete file reviews. The mentors provide immediate feedback and, where required, suggest additional action items.
The mentoring committee, including all of the mentors meets on a regular basis to discuss the progress of the associates and suggests common areas where additional training and development may be required. This becomes the basis of topic selection for ADAIR MORSE LLP’s internal CLE seminars. | |
